Alcala 15

Set on a steep, elongated plot in Marbella, Alcalá 15 is a sculptural villa designed to maximise views while respecting the surrounding pine forest. Defined by patios, terraces and a strong indoor-outdoor dialogue, the home creates a layered spatial journey that unfolds from rooftop to garden.
A Sculptural Home That Embraces Its Terrain

Alcalá 15 sits on a uniquely shaped plot with dual street access and significant elevation changes. From the outset, the design responded to the existing mature vegetation and complex topography. The villa unfolds across multiple levels, organised around light-filled patios and defined by rich materiality. Every element is designed to frame views, create intimacy and establish continuity with nature.

Alcalá 15 is about sculpting the terrain into a sequence of light, shadow and sanctuary.

The Challenge

Designing A Home That Follows The Forest

The site posed multiple challenges: a narrow, sloped terrain with limited views from the top due to towering pine trees. The task was to reconcile vehicle and pedestrian access while enhancing the experience of nature and sea views.

Our Solution

Embedding Architecture Into Topography

The home was placed at an intermediate elevation to preserve sea views and avoid visual obstruction from the trees. Access was resolved through a landscaped descent from the upper street, culminating in a contemplative rooftop terrace. The house unfolds around patios that respect the existing pines, ensuring natural light, cross-ventilation, and intimacy. At the heart of the villa, the kitchen connects seamlessly with social areas and outdoor spaces, creating fluid transitions. A generous roof overhang shades the pool, while the double-height volume of the social area enhances the home’s spatial richness.
