A Private Sanctuary Where Architecture Embraces the Landscape

Villa Celestia is a home that unfolds discreetly along a sloped plot, guided by the natural contours of the terrain and shaded by mature vegetation. The design centres on visual serenity and architectural discretion, integrating green roofs, thoughtful spatial organisation and a sense of gradual discovery as one moves through the spaces. From the driveway to the sea-facing contemplation points, each moment in the villa is marked by seamless indoor-outdoor transitions and a profound connection to nature.

The Challenge

Designing Privacy And Presence In A Landscape-Driven Site

The main challenge was to combine privacy, expansive views and functionality on a sloped plot with mature vegetation. It was essential to create a striking entrance while ensuring smooth circulation between social, private and work areas, including wellness and leisure spaces. The villa also needed to blend harmoniously with the surroundings, minimizing its visual presence from the exterior.

Our Solution

Architecture That Reveals Itself With Every Step

The design is organised around a grand driveway, flanked by vegetation, leading to the upper floor and the central communication core. This core connects the night areas with the garage and the ground floor social spaces. An alternative private access leads directly to the office module, enhancing the home’s versatility. Notable features include the open gaps between volumes, bringing light and greenery into circulation spaces; skylights in thebathrooms, creating a sense of outdoor connection and the large cantilever on the groundfloor, which integrates a gazebo into the topography. Green roofs allow the house to disappear from the beginning of the driveway, gradually revealing itself as one descends, fully integrating the building into the landscape.
