Alcuzuz

Located in the hills of Benahavís, Alcuzcuz is a striking contemporary villa defined by horizontal planes that extend into the Mediterranean landscape. With expansive views, spacious interiors, and wellness - focused amenities, the home offers a sophisticated yet grounded living experience.
A Monumental Villa With Lightness And Rhythm

Conceived as an architectural composition of overlapping horizontal planes, Alcuzcuz merges monumentality with a sense of openness and flow. The villa is anchored by natural stone wallsand unfolds around a central double-height living space that draws in light and frames distant views. Generous overhangs provide shade and visual depth, while the interplay of stone, glass and wood creates a serene and sensory-rich experience.

Alcuzcuz is an architectural statement: bold in form, yet deeply in tune with the rhythm of the landscape.

The Challenge

Designing Grandeur Without Losing Lightness

The expansive site called for a bold architectural gesture that would respect the scale of the surroundings while retaining intimacy and grace. The challenge was to create visual rhythm and functional comfort across multiple levels.

Our Solution

Horizontal Planes As A Gesture Of Integration

The architectural approach centred on expansive horizontal planes that extend beyond the façade, creating a dynamic silhouette while enhancing shade and indoor-outdoor flow. The house is grounded by natural stone walls and articulated around a luminous central axis. Interiors flow seamlessly into wellness areas like the spa, indoor pool and gym — completing a holistic living experience.
