E1-9

Located in the exclusive La Zagaleta enclave, E1-9 A is a grand residence that embraces the slope as a design opportunity. It integrates landscape, light and architecture through a layered composition of stone volumes, panoramic openings, and resort - like amenities.
A Bold Composition That Elevates Mountainside Living

This project was envisioned as an architectural response to a demanding topography, asloped site that called for ingenuity, balance and ambition. Through a series of layered horizontal volumes and anchoring stone walls, the residence opens up to light and views while remaining grounded and private. Designed as a luxurious primary residence, every decision — from layout to materials — was made to celebrate spatial flow and well being.

This house was not built on the slope — it was born from it.

The Challenge

Designing On A Dramatic Slope Without Losing Human Scale

The steep terrain required a sensitive yet ambitious approach. We had to ensure thehouse would feel expansive, luminous and welcoming without compromising privacy, intimacy or structural integrity.

Our Solution

Merging Stone, Light And Horizon Into A Singular Gesture

The architecture responds to the site through grounded stone walls that define and protect, while horizontal volumes open the home toward light and distant views. Courtyards, cantilevers and glass bridges articulate the layout. Inside, the program flows seamlessly, echoing the natural contours of the land while delivering an unmistakable sense of resort-level luxury.
