Casa de Canto

Located in the scenic enclave of El Madroñal in Benahavís, Casa de Canto is a contemporary villa that redefines serenity. Designed as a pure volume resting on stone walls, it opens generously to the landscape, offering an effortless flow between interior and exterior spaces.
A Serene Volume That Celebrates Its Connection To Nature

Our vision was to create a home that is both visually bold and emotionally calm, a space that invites light, landscape and family life to co-exist harmoniously. This gesture reinforces the connection between architecture and topography, allowing the structure to feel anchored yet open. Large panes of glass and cascading terraces soften the transition from interior to landscape, while thoughtful material choices, from wood to textured stone, bring warmth and sensory richness to the living spaces.

Casa de Canto is our quietest design, one that doesn’t shout, but stays with you.

The Challenge

Designing For Connection Without Exposure

The steep Mediterranean plot posed a challenge in maintaining both privacy and openness. The client wanted a home that felt connected to the landscape but still offered protected, intimate zones for everyday living.

Our Solution

Embracing The Landscape Through Gentle Architecture

The architectural response was a single, serene volume supported by stone walls that blend with the terrain. Expansive windows and tiered terraces dissolve spatial boundaries, turning the surrounding nature into part of the home’s daily life. The layout, finishes, and orientation all work together to deliver a sense of calm, spatial generosity and grounded beauty.
