Villa Celestial

Set on a privileged hillside overlooking the Mediterranean, H42 transforms a rigid structure into a lighter, more open architecture, where a precise rhythm of arches frames the landscape and brings light into the core of the design.
A Mediterranean Villa Reframed by Light and Geometry

Set on a privileged hillside overlooking the Mediterranean, H42 transforms a rigid structure into a lighter, more open architecture. Through a precise rhythm of arches and a dialogue between organic and orthogonal geometries, the project frames the landscape while bringing light to the core of the space.

The challenge was not to erase the existing, but to transform its rigidity into an architecture that breathes—opening it to light, landscape, and a more human scale.

The Challenge

Transforming Monumentality into Lightness

Villa Celestial began with an imposing and rigid structure whose monumentality limited its connection to light and landscape. The challenge was to soften this condition while preserving its presence—opening the architecture through a precise system of arches and introducing a more fluid, human scale. At the same time, the project required integrating organic geometries within an orthogonal base, achieving a balanced and coherent spatial experience.

Our Solution

Opening Structure to Light and Landscape

The intervention redefines the existing structure through a precise architectural language that introduces openness, rhythm, and continuity. A sequence of clean arches articulates the façade, framing views and allowing natural light to penetrate deep into the interior. Organic elements are carefully integrated within the original orthogonal framework, creating a dialogue between fluidity and order. Material transitions—stone, wood, and light—are resolved with precision, ensuring a cohesive spatial experience where architecture and landscape exist in balance.
